The Holy Eucharist stolen, faithful attacked during adoration in Mexico In the early hours of Holy Saturday, masked attackers stormed a Eucharistic adoration chapel in the Diocese of Tlaxcala, Mexico, assaulting worshippers and stealing a ciborium containing consecrated hosts. Bishop Julio C. Salcedo Aquino reported that the faithful in San Lucas Cuauhtelulpan were threatened, beaten, and robbed. He condemned the theft of the Eucharist as a grave offense carrying automatic excommunication.
