For many Catholics, the traditional Roman liturgy is not merely in danger of being taken away. It has already been taken away. Diocesan celebrations have been suppressed, parishes have been forbidden to continue them, and faithful families have been told that the Mass which nourished generations of saints is no longer available to them. Some now drive long distances to find it. Others have no diocesan celebration within reach at all.

Bishop Mutsaerts attacks “angry” Catholic blogs.
Dutch Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts — one of the better bishops, who survived a car accident in June — has launched a polemical attack on Catholics who dominate online discourse.
“One can eventually spend so much time fighting modernism that Christ becomes almost incidental,” Mutsaerts writes in a lengthy article on his blog on September 16.
“One can read every day about everything going wrong in Rome and barely open the Gospel. One can receive news of the latest disaster in a dicastery on Facebook within ten minutes and have no idea which saint is commemorated that day.”
